How do I hide tabs I don't want to see?

By default, the member and group details windows display many tab pages of data.  The member details in particular can include 10 different tab pages, including the General, Status, Private, Dues, Donations, Items, Related, To Do, Custom, and Activities tabs.

Each tab that is loaded must be retrieved and translated, so if you do not need or want to see certain tabs, turning them off can reduce the time it takes to open a record.

The membership or group tabs to display, and the order in which they appear, is controlled by a membership or group preference.
